Kosala is an initiative by Hindalco (an Aditya Birla Group Company). Our mission is to create sustainable livelihoods for Chhattisgarh’s indigenous Kosa silk weavers by bridging the gap between traditional craft, contemporary design, and global accessibility.

Kosa silk, indigenous to Chhattisgarh, India, is renowned for its natural texture and rich, golden hue. It is produced from the cocoons of the Antheraea mylitta silkworm and is celebrated for its durability and elegant appeal.

Kosala stands out for its dedication to quality, legacy, and craftsmanship. Kosa silk used in our products is of the highest quality and is one among the many carefully chosen raw materials used in the making of each of our products. The craftsmanship gives life to our fabrics and pays homage to the region's ancient weaving techniques while preserving the artform. Our unique, exclusive patterns showcase the depth of Indian handloom history while emphasising authenticity and creativity.

By advocating for environmentally responsible techniques all through our manufacturing process, Kosala is dedicated to sustainability. Some of our products use natural colours. 

Currently, Kosala offers a curated selection of designs that celebrate traditional craftsmanship. While we do not provide customization services at this time, our diverse collections aim to cater to various preferences and styles.

Currently we do not have a physical store. You can shop our products at our stockists - Jaypore, Go Native, Weavers Story, Kahaani and online. We also actively participate in exhibitions and events across India. Please follow our social media accounts to get regular updates on when we are in your city.
